It’s hard to describe how incredible Scarlett Johansson’s journey in Hollywood has been. She’s gone through such an amazing transformation that words can hardly do it justice.
Back in their high school days at the Professional Children’s School in New York City, Scarlett Johansson and Jack Antonoff were an item from 2001 until 2002. Jack has since made a name for himself in the music industry and famously dated Lena Dunham. Interestingly, Jack was also Scarlett’s prom date in 2002. However, their relationship fizzled out shortly after graduation, with Scarlett becoming more involved in the glitz and glamour of Hollywood.
Jared Leto has been linked to a number of famous women in the past, including Cameron Diaz, Katy Perry, and Miley Cyrus. These rumors have circulated for quite some time now, adding to the actor’s already high-profile dating history.
Scarlett’s romantic involvement with Jared was brief, and she subsequently entered a committed relationship with Josh Hartnett. From 2005 to 2007, the couple were together, but their demanding schedules eventually caused them to end things. According to Josh, “we’re all just regular people at the end of the day, and it didn’t work out.” He went on to say that the break-up was difficult for both of them.
In 2007, the famous actress started her romantic journey with Ryan Reynolds. The couple announced their engagement in May 2008 and exchanged vows in September of the same year in an intimate ceremony near Tofino, British Columbia. Despite being in the limelight, they preferred to keep their relationship private and avoided being photographed together. According to Scarlett, “We always kept our story private – how we met, our wedding, everything.” Unfortunately, the couple parted ways in December 2010, which left the actress heartbroken. Scarlett opened up about her feelings in a Vogue interview, saying, “It was horrible. Of course it’s horrible. It was devastating. It really throws you. You think that your life is going to be one way, and then, for various reasons or whatever, it doesn’t work out.”
Scarlett had a short-lived romance with Sean Penn after her divorce from Ryan. The couple was rumored to be together from February to June 2011. Although Scarlett admitted to seeing Sean, she didn’t give their relationship a label. However, some sources say that Sean broke things off because he wasn’t interested in commitment.
Scarlett Johansson began a romantic relationship with French journalist Romain Dauriac in November 2012. The two met through mutual friends in Paris and hit it off immediately. Although Romain claimed to have learned English in a single night, Scarlett felt that they always spoke the same language, perhaps the language of love. The couple got engaged in 2013, had a daughter named Rose in 2014, and got married later that year. Sadly, their marriage didn’t work out, and they separated in the summer of 2016. Their divorce was finalized in September of the same year.
In 2006, Scarlett had the chance to meet Colin Jost, a comedian from Saturday Night Live while she was hosting the show. Back then, she was still in a relationship with Josh Harnett, her co-star in Black Dahlia. Fast forward more than ten years later, they were seen kissing at an afterparty for SNL in May 2017, which ignited rumors of a romantic relationship. It wasn’t until May of 2019 when Scarlett’s publicist Marcel Pariseau confirmed that the couple is indeed engaged.
